There's always something new to learn......
My first USB key was a Microsoft freebie in the days when they were still expensive. It has a physical write protect switch, which I've always appreciated when sticking it into some of the dubious machines I meet. It's a bit small by today's standards, so I decided I'd have to part with some money and buy another one with the same kind of lock. Call me paranoid, but I don't trust software locks.
To my surprise, all the keys I was able to find do not have a write protect switch! My local IT store person said she couldn't remember the last time she'd seen one. I had a whinge on the local SBS Users Group List, and Chris Ainsworth pointed me to PQI U339 series Flash drives. According to the blurb at PQI's website, this drive has a "read only function." I'm not sure if that means a physical switch. But it's what I want.
